DIY Tuesday: Chevron Cork Board

This DIY is easy as 1, 2, 3!

What You Need:
Painters tape
Cork boards
Your favorite color paint
Paint brush

Step One: Cut equal pieces of tape for the chevrons. Try to measure each chevron equal vertically so the height is consistent (this is harder than it seems). Mine was about 1 1/2 inches apart vertically. Begin to place chevrons on board, using scissors to make even cuts. My chevrons were still a tad uneven, but in the end it seems even.

Step Two: Once your satisfied with your taped chevrons, you can begin to paint within the lines of the tape. Leave the top and bottom rows unpainted. Hint- Dab the paint along the tape lines so the paint won't leak under the tape (I learned this after I painted, so my paint leaked under the tape). Let Dry.

Step Three: Once dried, you can remove the tape and hang the boards wherever you desire. I used double sided poster tape that won't damage the walls, since I'm in a dorm. Now add pictures, jewelry, or anything and your set! This is great for a dorm or apartment, it can hold your favorite pictures or accessories without damaging walls! Hint- You can measure the boards to fit into your favorite frames (I didn't have a frame yet) to add a little extra.
